Senior Arabic Translator

Job Summary

Nagwa is looking to hire a motivated and organized person with a diverse experience in the technical and managerial aspects of translation and localization to be responsible for the Arabic translation, and subsequent localization, of our content.

Responsibilities

• Translating scientific content including, but not limited to, mathematics, physics, and chemistry from English to Arabic
• Handling and coordinating tasks related to the translation process
• Mentoring and training new team members
• Maintaining and updating glossaries and translation guidelines
• Sampling and reviewing final translations to check for the quality of the translated content
• Localizing Arabic content to suit different Arabic dialects
• Making sure the translated content adheres to Nagwa’s in-house style guide and glossaries
• Researching scientific notations and terms across different Arabic-speaking locales

Qualifications & Work Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in translation or any related field
• 3+ years of relevant experience
• Experience in translating scientific or educational content
• Excellent command of Arabic and English
• Background in content localization is a plus

Compensation

• Monthly gross salary offered for this position is 9,500 EGP.
